The College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, Canada invites applications for a tenure track appointment in pharmaceutics at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics or a related field, typically with post-doctoral or fellowship training. All applications from qualified individuals with expertise in pharmaceutics will be considered, with a preference given to those with a background in Pharmacy (BScPhm, PharmD or MPharm). The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an independent research program funded externally, such as through the Canadian Tri-Agencies (ex. CIHR, NSERC). The individual will be expected to teach in undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as provide service to the College of Pharmacy and the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The College of Pharmacy is located in a state-of-the-art 90 000 sq. feet Apotex Centre on the Bannatyne Campus at the University of Manitoba. The College of Pharmacy is home to the Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab (P.A.L.) which is housed in a newly renovated lab space. The P.A.L. has Shimadzu and Waters HPLCs as well as single and triple quadrupole mass spectrometers, Real-Time PCR, clinical chemistry analyzer and an AKTA FPLC. This facility is available for use by researchers in the College of Pharmacy and Rady Faculty of Health Sciences.
